Health Helps for the Holidays
(2013)The final project for the first semester was a class competition for who could build the best holiday scene out of toilet paper rolls, which would be donated to We Care of Grundy County. Each student was required to bring in at least one package of six rolls of toilet paper for their class to use towards their design. Each class was given three days to build their scene on a wooden pallet. Miss Tesdal only provided the pallet and different colors of tissue paper. Each roll was rolled in different colors to make different parts of the scene and to keep the toilet paper sanitary. Once the scenes were finished, they were put on display and the faculty was able to come vote for their favorite holiday scene. The winning class received a prize and $100 donated to We Care by First Midwest Bank in their name. With the holidays almost here, it was good to see the students engaged in an activity where they could give back to their community and help people who may have similar items on their Christmas list!
Here are the results of our project! Great job by all the classes!!
